HEK Control Privacy Policy

HEK Control is a companion application for compatible Bluetooth controllers. This policy explains data processed when you choose optional connected, weather, AI, and leaderboard features.

Data we process

The app processes Bluetooth connection status and controller readings for dashboard and controller features. These readings are normally handled on your device.

If you enable weather or location-based features, the app sends your location coordinates over HTTPS to a weather service for current conditions. If you use the in-app assistant, your question, a short local conversation history, and values visible on the current app screen are sent to the assistant service to generate a reply.

If you opt in to an eligible online Drag Time ranking, the app sends a generated ranking identifier, your display name, selected avatar style, selected category, and qualifying run results. A profile photo remains on your device and is not included in the online ranking request.

Why we use it

Data is used only to operate the feature you selected: Bluetooth connectivity and live readings, current weather, AI assistance, or the Top 5 leaderboard. We do not use it for advertising, sell it, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Service providers

Optional online features use secure service providers for weather, AI responses, and leaderboard storage. They process the minimum request needed to provide that feature.

Your choices

You can decline or revoke Bluetooth and location permissions in iOS Settings. You can avoid AI and online leaderboard features at any time. Profile edits are stored locally. You can remove ranking records in the app where available, or contact us for help.
